With a wide range of activities, food vendors, political speakers, and a spectacular firework show, this event promises fun and entertainment for the whole family. Central Baptist Church’s 1st Annual Cars Coffee Freedom (9 am – Noon):
Start your day off right with the Central Baptist Church’s 1st Annual Cars Coffee Freedom. Car enthusiasts can enter their vehicles for a fee of $35 and enjoy a morning filled with stunning automobiles and great conversations.
Food Vendors (3:00 pm):
As the day progresses, McNeill Park will come alive with a delightful array of food trucks ready to satisfy your taste buds. From the mouthwatering barbecue of Snonuff BBQ to the refreshing flavors of Frazier’s Lemonade Stand and Drizzle and Drips Snowballs, there’s something to please every palate. Don’t miss the delicious treats from Katy Cake, Without Measure Macaroons, Will Ronka Ice Cream, Tha Spot, Hall About Flava, Kahl’s Funnel Cakes, and the classic Cotton Candy Tradition.
Political Speakers (3:00 pm):
Political speakers will take the stage at McNeill Park, offering an opportunity for Pearl River County’s August 2023 political candidates to connect with the community. Starting at 3:00 pm, each candidate will have a 5-minute slot to share information about themselves and their campaign. This is a fantastic chance for residents to meet the candidates and learn more about their platforms.
Kid’s Bike Parade (5:00 pm):
The Kid’s Bike Parade is a highlight of the event, open to children of all ages. Participants will gather at the park by 4:45 pm for judging in various categories, including Tricycles, Bicycles & Scooters, Wagons & Strollers, and the overall Most Patriotic entry. The parade will take a ride around the McNeill Walking Trail, and spectators are encouraged to line the trail to enjoy the colorful and patriotic display.
Firework Show At Dusk:
The grand finale of the day will be the Firework Show at Dusk, located at the corner of Highway 11 and Sones Chappell Road in McNeill. Gather with family and friends to witness a breathtaking display of fireworks that will light up the night sky, filling the air with awe and celebration.
Friends of McNeill invites businesses and individuals to become sponsors for the Annual Firework Show. By contributing $200, sponsors will have their names announced multiple times over the loudspeaker during the Gospel Singing event. Additionally, sponsors will be recognized on the event’s Facebook page. This is a fantastic way to show support for the community and make the event even more memorable.
