Expand your knowledge of county government with our Lunch & Learn series on November 2 at 11:30 A.M. at the Poplarville Campus Olivia Bender Cafeteria. Dining with Diabetes: A Healthful Journey

Next up, don’t miss out on the Dining with Diabetes Program by Mississippi State University. This informative series is designed to help you manage diabetes, make healthier food choices, and understand portion control. Sessions will be held at the Margaret Reed Crosby Memorial Library on October 30 and continue on November 6, 13, and 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Enjoy cooking demonstrations and a complimentary lunch at each session. Miss Pearl River Pageants: A Night of Elegance

On November 9 at 6 pm, the Brownstone Center for the Arts at Pearl River Community College will host the Miss PRCC, Miss Pearl River County, and Miss Pearl River County Teen pageants. These competitions are preliminaries for Miss Mississippi, providing contestants with a chance to win scholarships and titles. Entrants aged 13-28 from across the state are welcome, though Miss PRCC contestants must be students at the college. Be sure to attend for a glamorous evening celebrating the talent and poise of our local young women.

Christmas Parade: A Festive Celebration

As we move into December, mark your calendars for the Christmas Parade on December 15 at 5 pm. Get ready to experience the joy and excitement of the holiday season as the parade lights up the streets of our community. Starting from the service road in front of Ramey’s, the procession will travel up Larkin Smith and turn onto Main Street at Bella Salon.
